What an in-game money bot does, how ours differs, and how to tell the real one from an account copying it.
A DonutSMP gambling bot usually means an in-game account you /pay to, which then either pays you back double or keeps the money. There are also bots you can download and run yourself. This guide explains what those bots do, why they cannot be checked, and how the bots on DonutSurge are different: ours never decide a bet. They only carry money in and out, and every game runs on the site on seeds you can verify.
You send a payment to the bot's account in DonutSMP chat. Somewhere, a program decides whether you won, and if it says yes the bot pays you back a multiple of your stake. The odds are whatever the person running it chose, and they can change them at any time, pause payouts, or log off with your money. Nothing about the result is published in advance and nothing can be recomputed afterwards, so a bad streak and a rigged bot look identical from your side.
The open source versions people run themselves have the same shape. They take payments, flip a configurable coin and pay or keep the money. The win chance is a setting in a config file, and the only person who can read it is the operator.
Our in-game bots have one job: moving money between DonutSMP and your site balance. To deposit, press the gold WALLET button next to your balance, pick Deposit, type an amount and press GET PAYMENT COMMAND. The site shows a /pay command with the bot's current in-game name and a copy button. Run it in DonutSMP and the panel flips to DEPOSIT RECEIVED, usually within seconds. To withdraw, pick Withdraw in the same menu, enter the amount, and a payout bot pays your verified Minecraft account with /pay.
The bet itself happens on the site, not in chat. Every original game draws its result from a server seed whose hash you saw before betting and a client seed you chose, and you can recompute any round on the Provably Fair page. The bot never sees the game and the game never sees the bot.
Only trust the command the site shows you at that moment. We run several bots and the account that takes your deposit can change, so a name you saw yesterday may not be ours today; press GET PAYMENT COMMAND every time and copy what appears. We never send you a /pay command in a Discord DM or in game chat, and a real withdrawal never asks you to pay anything to unlock it.
The payout that lands in game can come from a different bot name than the one you deposited to; both are ours, and the row on the site reading PAID is the confirmation that the money came from us. If no bot is online the money panel shows a BOT OFFLINE card, your balance is safe, and any withdrawal already submitted keeps its place in the queue.
Signing in in game means running a small /pay to the bot from the account you are signing in with. The amount is random and chosen for you, and it is not a fee: the moment our bot receives it, the same amount is credited to your site balance. If your account has Discord linked, you also tap Confirm in a Discord DM to finish. If the window switches to EXPIRED, press RESET WITH NEW AMOUNT and pay the new figure. Never run a sign-in /pay that somebody else sent you.
Is DonutSurge a gambling bot?
No. The bots only carry deposits in and payouts out. Every bet is placed on the site and decided by a provably fair seed pair you can verify, which a /pay bot in chat cannot offer.
Why did the bot name change?
We run several deposit and payout bots and the active one can change. Always press GET PAYMENT COMMAND on the site for a fresh command rather than reusing an old name.
The bot paid me from a different account. Is that normal?
Yes. Payouts can come from any of our bots, so the paying account can differ from the one you deposited to. The withdrawal row on the site reading PAID is the confirmation.
